Teddington Park in North Toronto, is considered one of the most exlusive neighbourhoods, albeit smallest, upscale communities. It is nestled east off of Yonge St., one of Toronto's main corridors, and has natural boundaries including Riverview Drive Ravine, and the Rosedale Golf Club.
Teddington Park originally formed the northern boundary of the City of Toronto in 1912. It's development as a luxury residential district of grand detached homes, came about with the relocation of the Rosedale Golf Club in 1909. The golf club was originally located in Rosedale, and hence the name.
Originally, the grand homes on Riverview Drive had names, instead of municipal addresses. Some of the houses still display their historical names, such as "Donnybrook" and "Silverwood". Some of Toronto's most influential residents have called Teddington Park home.
